Hello. One problem I am seeing is that there is no specific option to specify OS type as macOS. So, I created a VM using Other/Unknown/64-bit Arm. I specified several different ISO files and none of them would boot. It gets as far as a UEFI "Shell>" prompt. Is the following configuration supported: Sequoia running guest OS Sequoia on a 2023 MBP?
I have read stories from people saying they are doing just that and others that say it isn't supported. I don't know what to believe. Can anyone help? Thanks.

What is the installed VirtualBox version? If the OS type list does not include an OS then that means it is not supported. Also note that "not supported" does not mean it does not work. It may and it may not.

I am running the latest version, 7.1.6. According to the list that I looked at, VirtualBox supports Sequoia as a guest OS.

I can't find it, but I will keep looking (I've looked at hundreds of web pages, looking for information). Your description says you are affiliated with the Oracle Corporation. What I need is a definitive answer: is what I am looking to do possible?

My definitive answer is that MacOS ARM guests are not supported on MacOS ARM hosts by VirtualBox 7.1. I don't want to comment on whether it is technically possible or not. If an OS type is not listed in the combo box of the new VM wizard that means it is not officially supported.
