VirtualBox 7.1.5-166721 failed to install GuestAdditions

I've just tried 7.1.7r167177 and it still fails on Windows 8.1, but with a slightly different error, viz. "ERROR_DRIVER_STORE_ADD_FAILED (-536870329 / 0xe0000247)"

VBoxGuestAdditions_7.1.97-167251.iso seems to work fine.

I've successfully installed 7.1.7r167269 on Windows 10 and 8.1 and I think I have installed it on Windows 7, although the system hung when it tried to install the Wddm driver. (After restarting I was able to use the Windows driver rollback facility to revert to 6.1.51.11130. Incidentally, this is the last version of the driver which support Aero for me.).

So, it looks like the problem has been fixed for now.

For 7 yes but not for 8.1 in both 7.0.25 and 7.1.7 test builds. The drivers install only after turing off the driver signatur enforcement check during boot. Last ones which worked for 8.1 and the server variant was 7.0.16. But nothing new here:
