Hi Dears,
Could you kindly guide me how to Copy Data from Virtual Machine to Host
-Taking in consideration, I have security/ limitations on USB so I couldn't copy data using it
-Drag & Drop data from host to Virtual Machine sometimes work but never work from VM to Host
Thanks in advance

Re: Copy Data from Virtual Machine to Host
To fix this, you must use the Name: VBoxGuestAdditions.iso file of Virtualbox version 5130 or version 6130.
Since these two files are backwards, you copy them.
Also, I was wondering, virtualbox developers, please provide the right-click copy/paste feature like in the WM Workstation Pro application.
There are some very absurd situations, most of the time drag and drop doesn't work.
The solution to this is to copy and paste the files. This feature should come.

What exactly do you mean with "right-click copy/paste"? VirtualBox does have clipboard sharing for a long time, and for a while now can optionally also handle files this way (previously just plain text or image content).yolcuarslan wrote: ↑16. I'm sorry, but which version are you referring to?klaus wrote: ↑17. Jan 2025, 20:08What exactly do you mean with "right-click copy/paste"? There are two versions I use: 7022 and 712.
When I copy a file from my desktop, I want to paste it directly to my virtual computer. What I mean is direct copy/paste, not drag and drop.
Is this capability available in the current versions? I haven't seen it yet?

Re: Copy Data from Virtual Machine to Host
A 'zipped' copy of the VBox.log would have provided most of the necessary information on the Host and Guest systems; and whether or not the VM is configured correctly to provide "copy and paste" support; but the main questions, some of which would have been answered by the content of the VBox.log are:
- Which Host and Guest Operating Systems are being used?
- What does "Taking in consideration, I have security/ limitations on USB" mean? Is it just you aren't permitted to attach USB drives to the Host and/or Guest?"
- What kind of data are you attempting to copy from the Guest to the Host system, and what location do you need to paste that data to? Is that destination an assigned VirtualBox 'Shared Folder', or a Network shared folder on the Host system?
And, are the basic requirements to support "copy and paste" function in place; i.e.
- Are the VirtualBox Guest Additions installed in the Virtual Machine's OS and are they functioning correctly?
- Have the Shared Clipboard Settings been enabled? i.e. Set it to "Bi-directional in the VM's settings"
Again, sight of the VBox.log confirm the answer to those questions.
See the VirtualBox User Manual Section 3.5.2 for a description of the functionality and the key requirements. Both 'Drag 'n' Drop' and 'Copy & Paste' behave similarly and both are dependent on the Guest and Host clipboards being able to communicate/exchange data.

Re: Copy Data from Virtual Machine to Host
Sorry, I just saw the copy paste feature. I've been waiting for this instead of drag and drop for many years, I noticed it in version 714. Thank you for your answer
However, this time, even though I always make the virtual machine full screen, when it restarts, it starts as a small screen again.
What is the solution?
