Hi All,
I was trying to setup VirtualBox on my new M4 Mac.
I was able to download VB 7.14. However, there is no link
to the Windows OS?
I did set it up on my old Mac but don't quite remember if there was a link to Windows,
if it was incorporated into VB, or I had to go to the Microsoft site to download.
Please advise.
Thanks

Re: Setting up VirtualBox on new M4 Macs?
Unfortunately, VirtualBox on Apple Silicon does not yet support Windows. I am not sure when this support will be added. On the other hand, Linux does run very well under VirtualBox on Apple Silicon.
VirtualBox does NOT include Windows. If/when it does support the OS you will have to download it separately from Microsoft.

So I could probably use Linux for the time being. Just need to figure out what code I need to run it.
Happy Holidays.

Ask 10 geeks and you'll get 10 different recommendations. Just make sure you get an ARM64 distribution.
I had success with Debian: https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/cu ... 64/iso-cd/

That's hillarious!

Got it! I'll figure it out.
Thanks

I'm using it with Windows 10 and it's working properly.

Re: Setting up VirtualBox on new M4 Macs?
When setting up VirtualBox on your M4 Mac, the Windows OS isn't included with the VirtualBox installation itself. You will need to download the Windows ISO from the official Microsoft website. Once you have the Windows ISO, you can create a new virtual machine in VirtualBox and select the ISO file during the setup process. Make sure you have the proper version of Windows that’s compatible with your system (e.g., Windows 10 or 11 for ARM-based Macs).

Re: Setting up VirtualBox on new M4 Macs?
Setting up VirtualBox on M4 Macs can be confusing, especially when trying to run Windows OS. Many users are unsure whether Windows is included with VirtualBox or if it needs to be downloaded separately.
We know the importance of smooth digital experiences—whether it’s configuring Virtual Machines or enhancing online content. Just like fine-tuning social media trends or 3D printing settings, setting up VirtualBox on Apple Silicon requires the right approach.
Key Points to Keep in Mind:
VirtualBox on Apple Silicon (M4, M3, M2, M1) does NOT support Windows yet.
Linux runs well under VirtualBox, making it a solid alternative.
Windows is NOT included—you’ll need to download the Windows ISO from Microsoft.
If VirtualBox ever supports Windows, you’ll still have to install it manually.
Just like configuring AI tools or tweaking gaming setups, getting VirtualBox to work on new Macs takes the right tools and a bit of patience. Keep an eye on updates—support for Windows on Apple Silicon may come in the future!
