[SOLVED- Shelved the idea] Mojave as Guest on VB running on Sequoia (via OCLP) on Mac 11,1

Well probably asking way too much here..but here goes.
I have read the FAQ's searched he site (using google and the "site: " specifier)
So far on here all I have foudn is lots of people gtetting "told off"for posting in the wrong group and no solution

From what I understand, it seems you need to use certain version of Virtual Box to run different versions of OSx as a guest.

So ..what version of VB do i need to run Mojave with the host being Sequoia. I guess since I have used OCLP to install Sequoia as i have the limitations of the Nehalem version of the i7.
I do have a sub question to thi s..but to prove I have read the FAQ and stickies I will starrt a new thread for that.

Since you use Apple HW there's nothing wrong with your question - but you're so much beyond what your hardware officially can do (I guess you mean iMac11,1 - that's maxing out with High Sierra) that I can't help. The OCLP stuff isn't making life easier in a VM.

I have bumped in to that in my other post that you just posted on.
I had hoped OCLP was going to be my saviour to run a more updated OS on my old hardware...but no ..this hardware/pre Sandybridge processor instruction issue has killed the idea.

I guess there would be a way around all this in some way or another..but just too much work.

The secondary question was goign to be ...how can I run a VM within a VM.

I was hoping to run a Virtual machine of my current machine (Mojave) on the Sequoia machine and run VMWare fusion on the Mojave VM..to run my current Windows XP..so hopefully i'd avoid the Windows activation issue...but jsut way to much hassle to run one piece of Aviation logbook software...especially as I still have my old 2004 Sony Vaio runnign it as a 'backup' to the VMversion...


All closed..all solved and I can now move on to something else..

Maybe I need to learn what theses "Guest additions" etc are all about..

See if I can create a brand new XP Machine on a Virtual Box..on what host or hardware..i do not know yet...at least 7 iMacs and Mac Pros here to play with ! ..it seems the Windows XP Activation phone lines do still work!
