Kali on an Apple Silicon M1 Mac
The installer runs fine and is fast as heck. When the VM reboots I get thrown into a UEFI screen. I've tried running with EFI on and off, still the same results. Any suggestions?

If the UEFI screen shows when a VM is started it usually indicates that the Boot Loader can't be found and it is looking to the user to to direct it to the location of the Boot Loader. If you quickly follow the on screen instruction it should take you to the UEFI Boot Menu options to select and set the correct Boot location, i.e. the virtual Hard Drive (vdi file).
if you have just installed the VM it might still be looking for the CD/DVD as the primary location for the Boot Loader.

I tried using the boot manager, when I click on VBOXHD it just doesn't do anything.

Is a VBox.log available for the VM? I there is, then please zip the log and upload it using the Attachments Tab on the Message screen.
What is the current size of the .vdi file?
