OpenSUSE on VirtualBox won’t reboot after running .sh script

Post by brenstad »

Hello, i’m having an issue where OpenSUSE just go black screen after rebooting when running a fullscreen optimization script for VirtualBox. Previously i had an issue with kernel packages, i’ve managed to install some default kernel packages ( kernel-devel, kernel-headers, kernel-default-devel, kernel-syms, kernel-source and another packages such as devel_basis ) in zypper, then managed to run the script sucessfully, but when i do a reboot, the screen remains black and inoperant until i force a reboot via VirtualBox options. If someone can give me a lead i’ll be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Here’s what comes in the script:

open=VBoxWindowsAdditions.exe
icon=VBoxWindowsAdditions.exe
label=VirtualBox Guest Additions

System info:

OpenSUSE 12.2 (Mantis) (x86_64)

Hardware info:
i7-8550U 1.80GHz
8GB RAM
W11 Pro 64
