Hi folks,
I've been attempting to set up a Debian 12 VM on my MacBook Pro.
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)
macOS Monterey 12.7.3 (21H1015)
Latest Debian 12.5 iso (I am not installing any Desktop environment. It's all text-based). Unattended install, bare minimum Debian.
Guest Additions installed
Copy&paste is essential for me, and I have been trying various versions of VB in the recent days - to no avail.
I did find Lisa Miller's topic about older versions that have DnD working that could be also related to CnP, but they didn't for me. The VMs created with version 6.1 fail to start and VB version 6.0.* even fails to install.
Any pointers welcome.
Thank you.

Re: The Quest For Copy&Paste
On Linux (hosts and) guests, VirtualBox 7.0 (and older) only support the X11 clipboard for copy and paste.

Oh, I see.
X11: can-do, thanks; will test in a bit.
Any chances/plans for non-X11 bidirectional clipboard sharing in the future?

Re: The Quest For Copy&Paste
Wayland support is being worked on (for a VirtualBox version >= 7.1), but I never heard about anybody working on console-only support.
This doesn't mean that it couldn't happen, but I wouldn't expect or wait for it.
