More then four serial ports emulated in VM guest?

Post by salan »

Is it possible to emulate more then four serial ports in a vm?
It's for a demo of an old PDP system(using simh prob) with many terminals connected to the VM via serial.
Early days and I have a multi serial box (digibox?) that can stack 24ports per card with drivers for linux.
So can I get more then four serial ports in a vm passed through to actual serial ports (and pos some to usb/piped to network).
Thanks

Thanks I saw that but was wondering if by some how getting direct access to the hardware (the digibox in my case) more were posible. I have added more by using usb to serial adaptors, so to VB the device is a usb that is connected to the vm.
