Host BSOD when accessing printer from Virtualbox

Post by Slickfix »

I recently installed Virtual box 7.0 on a Widows 10 Pro Host (build 19045) with 8 Gb of Ram and a 1Tb HD.
Installed Win 7 Ult 32 bit with 4 Gb of Ram and 32 Gb HD as the running OS.

Everything works Great Except anytime I try to access my Brother Wireless Printer (Model MFC-J6710) from Win7
running in Virtual box the Host Computer crashes and I get the BSOD.

I have both systems set up on the same local (Home) network so I can see the printer in windows 7. I am using the Bridged Mode.
Whether I add the printer in Win7 or Try to access it as a Shared printer, as soon as I try to print the Win 10 Host crashes.
I have tried different drivers, methods of accessing, no luck.

It works fine on the Host Win10, but as soon as I try to print from Win7 the "Blue Screen Of Death" !
Any ideas of what to try or do next?

Currently I am printing to Adobe Acrobat and Saving the file to the Shared Drive I set up, then print From Windows 10.
The reason I am using this printing setup is that I have a program to print wiring diagrams with Adobe SVG Viewer and
the only thing that supports SVG is IE8 which is installed with Win7.

Thanks for any ideas or help.
