Good morning dear Collective Wisdom,
So I had a sudden need to run Xilinx ISE which is only shipped as a not so tightly wrapped .ova that was released when 6.1 was the rage. The VM is built on 2.6.32-358 kernel; I'm running latest available (6.1.50) VBox 6 on Windows 11. (Hyper-V is also running) .
VM panics into a "swapper Tainted" in setup_IO_APIC. I don't know much about virtualization and there are too many variables to blame. So I ask you for your wisdom. Meanwhile, I will also try to fiddle with settings combinatorics.
