No one is going to drop Xwayland and X11 compatibility. Not even Fedora. They may drop the native Xorg sessions, but even that would not be the first attempt.
Re: Wayland Support of VirtualBox Host Software?
Hi,
I'm using last stable version of VB (7.0.14) on KDE Neon (based on ubuntu 22.04 ) with Linux 6.8.9 & Mesa 24.0.6.
Is there a workaround allowing wayland use ?

Re: Wayland Support of VirtualBox Host Software?
Well with yesterday's update there's been a new development snapshot update, so I also upgraded to 7.0.97 r163039 which is running on Qt 6.5.3.
Hopefully the day when we're gonna be able to run fully on Wayland will come soon.
There's still time before Fedora 40 (the last version to still have X11 Xorg) goes out of support as it will be around until the 13th of May 2025. Nonetheless it would be nice to be proactive rather than reactive to this big change, so I really look forward to play my part in testing the native Wayland mode. Keep us posted on when it's available for testing, Klaus.
