Error: State change to GuruMeditation
Error: State change to GuruMeditation
After a year of not using the VM but changing nothing, otherwise, the VM won't start anymore. In the log (attached) a state change to a "GuruMeditation" followed by many exclamation marks is conspicuous. Any help?

Re: Error: State change to GuruMeditation
To say that nothing has changed since your last use of VirtualBox is likely to be an inaccurate picture as, regardless of the unchanged VirtualBox software/VM, your Host system is highly likely to have been updated many times over a period of 12 months and those updates can impact on installed software.
If you search the Forum for the Guru Meditation error "VCPU0: Guru Meditation -79 (VERR_INVALID_STATE)" you will find that the usual cause of this problem is that another Desktop Virtualisation software is active on the Linux Host, resulting in a conflict with VirtualBox. In Linux distros, this is most likely the integrated KVM Virtualisation Desktop (or possibly QEMU). You need to ensure that KVM is disabled in your Linux distro to avoid any conflict - KVM and VirtualBox can co-exist on the system, but VirtualBox won't work correctly if the KVM app is in an active state.
