I have a Windows 11 host with VB 7 and I'm trying to install Windows XP 32 bits guest, but I'm unable to select more than 1 CPU. I tried multiple ISO (home, professional, SP1, SP3...) but all of them got stuck on installation. I tried the 64bits version and it worked fine.
I succeeded installing the 32bits version with only 1 CPU, but if I try to change that after the install is complete, I get blue screen of death.
I know that XP have a limitation of only 1 physical CPU, but the CPU count on VB works as core, right? I really can't understand why I can install the 64bits version but out of lucky with the 32bits version.

Windows XP 32 bits Professional supports up to two physical processors.
Windows XP 32 bits Home Edition supports only one.
Before installing WXP 32 bits, enable I/O APIC and select 2 processors if installing XP Professional
