Date/time

Post by ose »

I have Windows XP running in Virtualbox. VB has a little friend who keeps telling him the date and time. I change the date and time (so the grace period doesn't run out) but he quickly finds out I'm lying and changes it back. I'm sure this didn't happen in earlier versions. Is there some way of strangling or otherwise disposing of this little friend?

If you have the Guest Additions installed you could disable the clock updates from the host.
This is described in the user manual at:
9.11.4. Disabling the Guest Additions Time Synchronization
