Repeated Abort - Oracle Linux Guest on Windows

Post by geetarplayer »

Hoping someone can help me out.
I'm getting repeated aborts of my Linux guest.

Guest: Oracle Linux 9 (64-bit)
Host: Windows 11. Has 32GB RAM
VirtualBox version: Version 7.0.12 r159484 (Qt5.15.2)
Allocated to the VM: 6GB, 2 CPUs
Graphics Controller: VMSVGA
3D Acceleration: DISABLED (if I enable this, some graphics are garbled)

The abort happens when I am not actively using the image. I'll just eventually notice the popup window with the error, and see that the VM shows as "aborted". I always have the image running. The abort happens 3 or 4 times per week.

Attached is the log file and the screenshot of the error window (for one particular instance of the error).

This seems to be fixed. Soon after posting this I noticed that the Guest Additions was 2 revs behind. I upgraded that, and it's been running without issue ever since.
