The log was partial, the VM not having completed before the log was taken.
Please start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.
Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show in Explorer/Finder/File Manager. In the "Logs" subfolder, zip the VM's "vbox.log", and post the zip file, using the forum's Attachments tab. (Configure your host OS to show all extensions so you can find the "vbox.log", not "vbox.log.1", etc.)

That was a .png file, not a log.

This seems to be a problem in the VirtualBox unattended installation, see #21566 for details.RHEL-2023-12-22-17-11-51 2.log wrote:00:00:11.586617 ISOLINUX 6.04 ETCDisolinux: Image checksum error, sorry...

Thanks for the reminder, I forgot about this one.

No, it's rather a bug in VirtualBox, which calculates the checksum itself during unattended installation.
PS: I know, we were analyzing at the same time.

Re: Can't get RHEL 9.x to load on VBOX - error log below!
The main part was googling for the text on the VGA screen (see the quote in my first post to locate it in the log file). All results pointed to VirtualBox 7.0 and unattended installation of different RHEL guests. Including the 9 months old ticket in the Bugtracker.
What I didn't mention is that Unattended Installation is currently being worked on for VirtualBox 7.1, including bug fixes in the area of calculation of SHA-2 checksums. Since the (publicly available) SVN repository only includes the SVN trunk (7.0.97 aka pre-7.1), I don't know if the bugfixes have been backported to the VirtualBox 7.0.13 test builds.

Ah, I see it now, it was in your post above mine. Thanks!
So maybe doing a manual installation instead of unattended would get around this?

Yes, that's what the author of the ticket stated in their Description.

i reloaded the RHEL 9.3 ISO and encountered the same problem. How can i manually install the ISO?
Is that a secondary step in Vbox?

Did you see or fill out this page in the Create Virtual Machine Wizard?
If you did, then you did an Unattended Install.
Checking this box:
so the "Unattended Guest OS Install Setup" page with username password above does not appear in the Wizard, or the Wizard reports that you could not do an unattended install, then you did a normal install.
