View on large monitor

Post by WelshMatt983 »

Hi I have had VB installed on my 27" iMac, I've not used it as it will not run the software I use the VM for, it is an old 2014 model so may lack power possibly.

Anyway, even with the lag when I use full screen mode it doesn't come up like it goes on host side, the icons are large and stretched and same with writing on pages, looks stretched and blurry and would give you a headache spending more than 10 minutes looking at it.

I have a new Mac Mini arriving Friday and will be hooking up to a 32" monitor, I'm hoping with the extra power hopefully run my software smoothly. I am just trying to figure out if there was a way to view in full screen mode like it would if I opened a page up on host side with font standard size etc?

Sounds like Scaled Mode instead.

If you're certain the VM is not in Scaled Mode, let's see its log:

Please start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show in Explorer/Finder/File Manager. In the "Logs" subfolder, zip the VM's "vbox.log", and post the zip file, using the forum's Attachments tab. (Configure your host OS to show all extensions so you can find the "vbox.log", not "vbox.log.1", etc.)
