VirtualBox Slows Down in Fullscreen Mode on MacBook Pro 2019

I've recently installed Ubuntu on VirtualBox 7.0.1.2 where I'm experiencing a lot of sluggish performance paired with extremely high-resolution image output on full-screen. Toning down the resolution from within Ubuntu doesn’t seem to fix the issue. Instead, it readjusts to the default resolution when you enter fullscreen again.

For a bit of a reference, the same virtual machine runs perfectly fine on my decade-old Windows laptop.

Please provide a VM log file. Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.
