File copy from Debian 12 to Win 11 slow

Post by shahgols »

Hello, I have Debian 12 on Win 11, all patches/updates applied to both OS. VB version is 7.0.0. Previously I had an Ubuntu guest and copying files from the guest to host was running at 200MB or more through a shared folder. I have switched to Debian and the speed is 20MB or so. Host has 128GB of RAM, guest has 8GB of which 1.5GB is used. I have googled and have not found anyone who had this issue get their issue fixed. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Does this mean you reinstalled Debian in the Ubuntu VM, so you no longer have Ubuntu in the VM, now you have Debian?

Do you still have the Ubuntu VM with the high throughput?
