Virtual Guest Addition 7.0.10 failing on centos 9 Sream

I have just built a new centos 9 Stream vm and I cannot get virtual guest addition 7.0.10 to work. I keep getting kernel configuration is invalid. I found a thread regarding modifying the regops.c file, but those changes didn't work; also the second condition on if statement was there. The only difference between what was suggested and what is in the file for RTLNX_RHEL_RANGE for guest addition 7.0.10:

In file RTLNX_RHEL_RANGE(9,3, 9,99) what was suggested RTLNX_RHEL_RANGE(9,2, 9,99)

NOTE: I even tried VBG 7.0.8 and the same error was thrown.

I found another thread on this site where a testcase for 7.0.11 was created which stated should solve the issue with kernel configuration being invalid for centos 9 stream. I installed VirtualBox test case 7.0.11 on windows and then installed the Virtual Guest Addition 7.0.11 on vm.

I now have virtual guest addition 7.0.11 running/active without issue on my centos 9 stream vm.

This issue/topic can be closed for me.
