Can't start windows 10 guest in Ubuntu 22.04 any more

Post by Matbu »

Hi,

on an Ubuntu 22.04 Host I used a win7 and win10 VM several times in the last year and now tried to start them again without success.
There's only a black screen and the CPU is endless running with full power.
I didn't change any setting, both VirtualBox and GuestAdditions are version 6.1.38.
The log shows me the following errors:
00:00:00.939872 ERROR [COM]: aRC=VBOX_E_VM_ERROR (0x80bb0003) aIID={4680b2de-8690-11e9-b83d-5719e53cf1de} aComponent={DisplayWrap} aText={Could not take a screenshot

How can I start these VMs again?

Please post the whole log here:

Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show in Explorer/Finder/File Manager. In the "Logs" subfolder, zip the VM's "vbox.log", and post the zip file, using the forum's Attachments tab. (Configure your host OS to show all extensions so you can find the "vbox.log", not "vbox.log.1", etc.)
