I installed Android-x86 in VirtualBox. Everything worked fine and installed correctly, but on first boot, the screen is yellow and keeps switching between command line and GUI.
The guest never reaches the home screen, it only loops forever.
This did not happen when I used VMware.

Android is not a supported OS for inside a Virtualbox VM. Meaning, we don't dig in too heavily when there are problems.

FWIW most folks who need a working Android emulator try apps like BlueStacks. Or they get an Android phone.
