"critical error occurred" trying to install/run Ubuntu 20.04 on host macOS High Sierra 10.13.6
I'm using a mid-2010 Macbook Pro with macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. and I'm trying to install/run Ubuntu 20.04.6 on Virtualbox 5.2.4. When I try to start/run Ubuntu, I receive the error message: "A critical error has occurred while running the virtual machine and the machine execution has been stopped." I've tried both older and newer versions of Ubuntu and receive either a kernal panic error or this critical error message. I'm just looking to run a Linux OS on my mac so i can learn it.Thanks in advance for any advice!

I resolved the issue updating to Virtualbox version 6.1.44
