VirtualBox does not recognize ISO

Hi,

I've tried many ways to make Virtual Box recognize the Iso. But every time this screen appears for me. And it doesn't work. It contained going to the "Press Any Key to..." screen

Does anyone know what can it be?

The iso was downloaded from Microsoft's own website.

This message is coming from the Windows installer OS on the ISO. So Virtualbox is recognizing the ISO.

You have to press a key to boot from the OS on the ISO. Does the Windows installer not boot when you tap a key while that message is showing?

doesn't boot. It takes a while to load, and then this dialog box to set the ISO appears again.

That's unusual. It could be a corrupted download. Try the download again. Also try a Linux OS ISO to see if the Linux installer at least starts; you don't have to install it.

What didn't work? There were two suggestions. Please be more explicit in your result descriptions.

the process stops. two things happen:
1) the dialog to select the ISO appears repeatedly (I downloaded several different ones from the MS website and none work)
or
2) Guru message with "critical error" appears. I downloaded the log, but the size is larger than allowed to post here.

It's the only info that pops up for me.

Hmm...I thought that might be it. Well, I gave up for now until we have a better version. thanks for the update.
