Can't find my Mac's host's shared folder in macOS El Capitan v10.11.6 guest VM.

Post by ant »

The host is running in an old 2012 MBP's macOS Mojave v10.14.6. VirtualBox is v6.1.44 (can't use v7 due to its new hardware requirements). In Windows' hosts and guests, it's easy to do and see this host's shares in network area. Am I missing something? And yes, I installed guests additions and rebooted.

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon.

I don't know anything about Virtualbox Shared Folders in Mac Guest Additions. However, a Bridged or Host-Only network could enable normal Mac OS shared folders.
