The feature was dropped in VB 6.1. Are there any plans to fix it and return in the next version or later?

My guess would be no. The feature had few fans among the dev team and none at all AFAIK among paying customers.
The only people interested in it were those with weird ideas for what it could do for them, e.g. that it would somehow allow them to share a graphics card with the host (which it can't).
