Support for mounting cue/bin images of CDROMs

Post by acb764se »

(posted originally by mistake on "VirtualBox for Windows hosts")

I use VB 5.2.34_Ubuntu r133883 and have can't open either .cue or .bin files
Both files courtesy of ImgBurn:

Failed to open the disk image file SC.cue.
Could not get the storage format of the medium 'SC.cue' (VERR_NOT_SUPPORTED).
Result Code: VBOX_E_IPRT_ERROR (0x80BB0005)
Component: MediumWrap
Interface: IMedium {4afe423b-43e0-e9d0-82e8-ceb307940dda}
Callee: IVirtualBox {9570b9d5-f1a1-448a-10c5-e12f5285adad}
Callee RC: VBOX_E_OBJECT_NOT_FOUND (0x80BB0001)

(Ditto for SC.bin)

AND, here is the .cue file:

FILE "SC.bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE2/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

Thank you very much for any help!

What are these CUE/BIN files images of? AFAIK VirtualBox doesn't support music disks, and that's what VERR_NOT_SUPPORTED could mean here.

Incidentally, I'll allow the discussion for now because it's generic, but please note that Linux self builds of VirtualBox (i.e. like what you have) are not supported here.
