Hi guys,
I have a problem playing audio from a Windows 10 guest on an Arch Linux host.
When I continuously play audio from the virtual machine, it suddenly stops and crashes.
It happens both using YouTube from Chrome and SDRSharp.
Kernel: Linux 5.2.8-arch1-1-ARCH
VirtualBox: 6.0.10 r132055
I attach the log from the crash and I will provide any further information if needed
Thankyou

What's "it"? Your Host? Your VirtualBox? Your VM? Your App inside your VM? Please clear the ambiguity.fossanico wrote:When I continuously play audio from the virtual machine, it suddenly stops and crashes.
And how long does it take for the crash to occur? Seconds, minutes, hours, days? Consistently or it varies?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Sorry for the ambiguity.
VirtualBox crashes, the virtual machine window just closes, and the machine is flagged as Interrupted in the VM manager.
The crash happens in minutes (about 4) from the start of the "continuous playing". It seems to be consistent and does not vary.

More details: if I play audio from a Firefox instance on a different Virtual Machine (Ubuntu), it does not crash, while with Windows guest does.
When the crash happens, the only information the KDE's debugger gives me is:

Re: Crash on continuous audio reproduction with Win10 guest
I've been battling this problem for the last couple of days and it's driving me batty. Here's a link to the other discussion:

I've tried both chipsets, AC97 and HDA, ALSA and PulseAudio, multiple variations of memory size and number of processors, etc., with no success. A couple minutes of audio and then poof-- Virtualbox crashes. I'm thinking about enabling crash dumps for VirtualBox, but I probably wouldn't know how to interpret the contents.
