Win10 Host for XP loses screen resolution for XP app.
Win10 Host for XP loses screen resolution for XP app.
One would think this is the screen resolution setting for the XP application ? But it doesnt seem to be and I have wracked my brains over this and tried every "setting" in the guest settings. The XP guest seems to come up OK at the correct resolution. When loading the XP application it dives to 640x480. Is there anything in the Virt Box that I should check or alter ??

An app running in the guest can control the guest resolution just like an app running on a physical PC can. I don't believe there is anything in Virtualbox that can force the guest OS to ignore the instructions from the app. You will have to get the app to stop telling the guest OS to switch to 640x480.

Please post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click and "Show Log" in the GUI, save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip, and attach the zip here.
