Re: OS image for download with integrated & configured VirtualBox
Are you talking about a guest with the OS already installed & configured, and just ready to plug in and run, hopefully? They're called OVA files, or appliances. I have seen them posted by many websites, but I wouldn't be able to show you one right off. It's up to the provider to decide if they want to give their OS as an ISO for you to install or as an OVA to import.

@jmar83_the2nd
From your telegram-length question and answer, I haven't figured out what exactly is the issue...
You know we don't charge by the character/word/sentence, right?
Please be as detailed as possible...

Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

Re: OS image for download with integrated & configured VirtualBox
That is a meaningless statement. In VirtualBox parlance, the virtual machine is a vm or a guest. The host is the physical machine on which the vm runs. So you can have the host OS or the guest OS, but not a vm host OS. I presume you meant the guest OS, since the host OS must be installed before you install VirtualBox.jmar83_the2nd wrote:No, i meant the vm host os.
What sort of configured vm did you have in mind? Configured for what? What would you want it to do?
There are virtual appliances available, configured as routers or to run some particular application.

I think there is no "certified" solution, a host os with virtualbox installed, all with certified versions of packages.
I mean it similar to proxmox, the proxmox team provides a specific kernel for kvm, so to say "certified".

Re: OS image for download with integrated & configured VirtualBox
According to Wikipedia:
I have never heard of anything like that with Virtualbox built into it, as if it would somehow be more specially tested than a normal host OS with Virtualbox installed. I think some Linux distros distribute a fork of Virtualbox...
Seems to be a PC OS with a special arrangement of hypervisor built into it.Proxmox Virtual Environment (Proxmox VE; short PVE) is an open-source server virtualization environment. It is a Debian-based Linux distribution with a modified Ubuntu LTS kernel[3] and allows deployment and management of virtual machines and containers.
