[Resolved] Guest additions 6.08 openSUSE Leap 42.3

Post by steffda »

Hallo,
the VBoxLinuxAdditions.run version 6.08 does not compile the vboxsf.
If i fall back to version 6.04 everything is compiled and working fine. Same problem with version 6.06.
This behaviour is reproducable.

What is the point?

There have been some changes to Linux kernel APIs (thanks Linus) which need source code changes to the guest additions. Your best option is to try the latest test build and see if it has already been fixed in the guest additions included there. If not then we will either need to create a patch or ask the devs to fix it.
