[Resolved] Display lag on Win10 VM after installing GA on MacBook Pro 2018 with OSX 10.14.5
I have a MacBook Pro 2018 Host with OS X (10.14.5). I setup a Windows 10 VM on the most current VirtualBox for Mac and all was running as expected until yesterday when I needed to install the Guest Additions so that I could setup a shared folder to get a client download zip file over to the VM. After I installed GA, the VM is now super laggy, like a keystroke or mouse click will take a couple minutes to register and show up within the VM window. The WEIRD part that I noticed this morning is that when I also still had the VirtualBox Manager open on my other screen, the preview for the VM was showing everything with no lag. I've attached the log from this morning as has been requested in the other topics that I've read here. Hopefully this is enough information to go on for some troubleshooting suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Go to the VM Settings » Storage » select your SATA controller » Use Host I/O Cache: enable that.00:00:01.005964 [/Devices/ahci/0/LUN#0/Config/] (level 5) 00:00:01.005965 BlockCache <integer> = 0x0000000000000001 (1)
Go to the VM Settings » Display » Screen. Change the Graphics controller from "VBoxSVGA" to "VBoxVGA". Enable 2D and 3D acceleration. How exactly did you install the GAs? Because from the log I see:agrossman wrote:After I installed GA
... which is not what I'd expect. With the VM window having the focus, go to the host's menu "Devices" » "Insert Guest Additions CD Image...". If not prompted by auto-run, run "VBoxWindowsAdditions.exe" from the CD. Make sure there are no errors or suggestions during the install.00:00:07.755218 VMMDev: Guest Additions information report: Version 6.0.0 r127566 '6.0.0'
