And as I've stated before it seems to only occur with those types of models.wndkk wrote:It seems what everyone with problems has in common is the A1339 Touchpad or the A1314 Keyboard.

You quoted my whole message (not anymore), but you might not have read it; we need to triage this. Find the exact model(s) that triggers this, not everyone is seeing that crash. Something similar to what "wndkk" did (good job wndkk ).atkhobby wrote:We will need a developer with BT keyboard/trackpad though.
Somebody needs to go through each and every report and make a table of affected/not-affected types and models. Preferably some of the people that are affected. I could try to narrow it down, but I have so many tabs open that I need to reply to, that it might take me several days to get to this, you should try to be more proactive...

Re: Kernel Panic - Bluetooth, Mac OS X 10.14.3 Mojave (#18107)
FWIW I'm experiencing the same issue. System specs below. Any time my keyboard / mouse spontaneously disconnects and reconnects, which is more often than I'd like thanks to USB-C interference, the system kernel panics. System specs are below. This seems also related to the T2 chips on the new macbook pros because the error report shows the problem relating to bridgeOS
OS: Mojave 10.14.5 Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro15,1 Processor Name: Intel Core i7 Processor Speed: 2.6 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 6 L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache: 9 MB Hyper-Threading Technology: Enabled Memory: 16 GB Boot ROM Version: 220.260.171.0.0 (iBridge: 16.16.5200.0.0,0) Serial Number (system): C02WX0G9JG5M Hardware UUID: FA618EF9-9DC9-5759-853E-BFDFC02E137D

@richbai90 Can you tell us what keyboard and mouse models you are using?

I'm not sure how you managed that, but I would definitely do a clean uninstall/reinstall of VirtualBox.StaceyM wrote:last loaded kext at 455014650448077: org.virtualbox.kext.VBoxNetAdp 6.0.8 (addr 0xffffff7f88f27000, size 28672) last unloaded kext at 454975898843296: org.virtualbox.kext.VBoxDrv 5.2.30 (addr 0xffffff7f88f1a000, size 417792)

I ran the un-installer provided with Virtual Box is how I did that.
This morning I have started up without any connections to BT or anything else for that matter. I have started two VM and switched multiple times between the windows of each and the VBox GUI, which was enougth to make the GUI crash several times yesterday. I am about to turn on the mouse....

Mouse ON. Nothing bad happened. I was able to switch between the two VM's and the GUI to my hearts content. Clicky here, clicky, there, with my little mouse I clicked everywhere.
(My the v6 windows are small).
I then turned on the keyboard. BOOM. Black screen of PANIC! Instantly.
Upon boot "Console", System Reports includes the below kernel panic:

Kernel Panic on iMac, VB 6.0.10, macOS 10.14.6
Hi everyone,
I am experiencing 100% kernel panics when trying to boot any Linux. I haven't tried Windows, but I guess it is the same. The error is happening since I have my iMac (meaning: on combinations of older macOS and VB as well) and does not happen on my MacBook (same versions of everything).
There are some hints of the problem being linked to the Magic Keyboard, but even with the keyboard turned off, the system panics. The panic happens the second you could normally choose the install options (CLI) or the GUI would appear.
I have attached the Kernel Panic which is (obviously) related to the org.virtualbox.kext
As I have not stumbled upon a fix, does this happen to other users as well? Is it iMac related, Magic Keyboard related or both?
Thanks
Cheers

Re: Kernel Panic on iMac, VB 6.0.10, macOS 10.14.6
First of all I don't see any 3rd party kexts loaded which makes it almost a VirtualBox problem.
I'm going to merge your thread with the existing one that deals with the issue.
So it's an iMac specific problem. And since you're mentioning MagicKeyboard, which involves a Bluetooth connection, can you try with a standard USB-connected keyboard? Because this sounds awfully familiar with ticket #18107: OSX Majove host panic reboots.lechat wrote:does not happen on my MacBook (same versions of everything)

Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Correct. It should be the only extension.First of all I don't see any 3rd party kexts loaded which makes it almost a VirtualBox problem.
Sadly, I have no spare keyboard around. So what I did was to remove the keyboard from the bluetooth menu completely. I then started Virtualbox, realized that I don't had a bootable Linux image anymore and wanted to reconnect the keyboard. When I hit the cancel button on VB the iMac paniced anyway!
Having the keyboard disconnected and the iMac restart due to kernel panic makes it hard to enter your password, by the way. Hint: connect the lightning cable. That will keep you from the hassle I had
So in summary, I am not sure, if it really is related to the Magic Keyboard (could test on the MacBook later). But I am rather confident that it is an iMac related problem. Maybe even an iMac 19,1 related problem.

Re: Kernel Panic - Bluetooth, Mac OS X 10.14.3 Mojave (#18107)
This happens on a very regular basis on my MacBookPro15,1 (i9 2.4GHz, 32GB) with the newest magic keyboard. Turning the keyboard off and on as mentioned earlier does not trigger the crash for me.
VBox 6.0.10
MacOS 10.14.6
Only non-apple and non-vbox kext is dropbox.
Adding my voice to @richbai90's in the 'not an iMac' camp.
Update: just crashed again, even with the keyboard connected via lightning cable.
Also seems to happen with higher frequency if I turn on paravirtualization interface on ('default' as opposed to 'None')

Re: Kernel Panic - Bluetooth, Mac OS X 10.14.3 Mojave (#18107)
I'm having intermittent crashes. Here is my full spec:
1. Model Identifier: Macmini8,1
2. OSX version: 10.14.6 (18G95)
3. VirtualBox version: 6.0.12r133076
4. Keyboard: Magic Keyboard (A1843)
5. Mouse: Magic Mouse (A1657)
6. List of loaded kexts
Is there any workaround at this point? Any version of VirtualBox I could switch to?

There was a post in the beta section from a developer, that may apply to your situation as well.
aeichner wrote:we still don't know what causes the crashes, but now have a suspect. You can run the following to disable the potential culprit:If the setting was applied properly, it should be visible in VBox.log where the entry "GUI: HID LEDs sync is enabled" should change to "disabled".Code: Select all
VBoxManage setextradata global GUI/HidLedsSync 0
It would be great to know if this has any effect. If it avoids the crashes then it might take a while to confirm, but if it doesn't I guess we will know pretty soon.
