Enable Secure Boot and TPM on Virtualbox

Post by Karthik Reddy »

All ,

I am using virtualbox 6.0.8 on Windows 10. I need to enable Secure boot and TPM to get my customized (company image) iso to create Windows 10 VM. It requires to enable these two. Can you help me in enabling this.
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,
Karthik

I don't believe that there is any pass through or emulation of generic TPM hardware in VirtualBox needed for secure boot.

Secure boot isn't part of the currently shipping UEFI firmware (too old). Additionally there is no TPM virtualization in VirtualBox at this point.

BTW, to correct andyp73: there is no relationship whatsoever between secure boot and a TPM. These are completely separate features. Usually they're simply checkbox items. Secure boot, because it's "secure". TPM is usually needed by Bitlocker in corp setups.
