How do I disable time-sync?

Post by Ben321 »

I am looking for a setting in the virtual box controls to disable the time-sync between guest and host. I can't find any checkbox that would accomplish this. I need to be able to set my guest OS's time separate from the my host OS's time.

There's no checkbox. Why would you think that there's a checkbox?

Time-sync can be disabled from the command line, but it gets the time again from the host every time the VM is restarted. And of course if the guest has internet access, most of them these days get the time from the internet.
