When I was going to it was literally crashing and I could not install it at all. I even tried it with admin privileges but still, it was the same. Please help me to fix the problem.

Does "Headless Start" still work without crash?

I believe that i have the same problem. I'm kind of new in Mac, so i don't know how do they manage the OS updates, but i think that the crash it start happening after one of the updates. I have 3 VM's (1 linux and 2 windows) and they all have the same issue. Few weeks ago there was no problem at all. I tried:

- uninstalling and installing last version of VirtualBox.
- uninstalling and installing again.
- uninstall, reboot and install again.

none of them seems to work.

I tried headless with virtual machine called "Linux64" with:

Code: Select all

VBoxHeadeless -s Linux64
It seems that it's working. I opened VirtualBox and it appears running, and it shows in the preview the login screen. I don't know what to do with this result though.

As an alternative, i tried CoRD and use the "remote screen", but it crashed. Then i tried the same thing with "Royal TSX" and it worked(it seems that isn't free, but right now it worked for me without any payments). For me at least is a small step. Now i can at least use the machine.

Also works the freerdp(royal TSX) says that they use that so i tried. My first try seems a bit slow but, i'll check the parameters and see if i can improve it a little.

I have a similar problem since upgrading to the first public beta of macOS 10.14.4. The problem still persists today, even after upgrading to the final version of 10.14.4. I can only start my VMs in headless mode, anything else leads to a crash as reported here:

The same here. MacOS 10.13.1. VirtualBox-5.2.22-126460 won't start at all. VirtualBox-6.0.8-130520 works in Headless mode only.
Had to downgrade to version 5.1.4-110228. Works fine.

What happens if you start from the GUI? Details please. A VBox.log would help, and so would the output of:
  •
    kextstat | grep -v com.apple
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

I was able to solve the problem by re-installing macOS from recovery mode (without erasing the disc).
