Keine Fernsteuerung aktivieren möglich

Hallo

ich habe auf meinem Server Ubuntu 8.04 Server neu aufgesetzt.Als Vbox habe ich 6.0.6

Leider kann ich die Fernbedienung nicht einschalten.Auch die Vorschau bringt kein Livebild sondern nur jpgs.

Bei der Eingabe zum abrufen der Virtualbox Version bekomme ich eine Fehlermeldung

Are you trying to install VirtualBox 6.0.6 on an Ubuntu 8.04 server? That won't work, it's not supported I'm afraid, the earliest supported Ubuntu is 14.04.

Next thing, look at older builds:

• 5.2.x, no. Minimum Ubuntu host required is 14.04.
• 5.1.x, no. Minimum Ubuntu host required is 12.04.
• 5.0.x, no. Minimum Ubuntu host required is 12.04.
• 4.3.x, no. Minimum Ubuntu host required is 10.04.
• 4.2.x, YES! Minimum Ubuntu host required is 8.04.

But, VirtualBox 4.2.36 was released on 2015-11-11 and it's definitely not supported!

"virtualbox" ist eine X11-GUI-Anwendung, und offenbar wurde die Verbindung zum Server auf eine Art hergestellt, die keine X11-Umleitung erlaubt. Das will die Fehlermeldung sagen. Was beabsichtigt ist kann ich leider nicht erraten.

Ist eine normale Bionic 18.04 Server installation.

Auf der Maschine ist phpvirtualbox installiert mit welcher ich von einem anderen Rechner virtualbox bediene.(So wie ich es immer gemacht habe).Jetzt nach einer Neuinstallation von trusty zu bionic habe das Problem.

Beabsichtigt ist das in keinster Weise.

Wie ist das Problem zu beheben?
Es ist so für mich unmöglich eine neue VM zu erstellen.

Ich verstehe nicht, warum ein Start der GUI-Version von VirtualBox irgendwas mit phpVirtualBox zu tun hat. Das letztere bedient man über den Web-Browser, und Fragen dazu gehen besser an das entsprechende Projekt.

Ich habe phpvirtualbox deinstalliert.

Aber rdp Connection funktioniert leider immer noch nicht.

Ich habe zwei vms am laufen.Kann mich aber mit keiner mit dem rdp verbinden.

Wieso wird die machine Bionic nicht gefunden.Die läuft doch.

Läuft die VM im Kontext eines anderen Benutzers? Normal hat root keine VMs (man sollte nicht mit diesem Account arbeiten), und VirtualBox verwaltet die VMs streng nach Benutzern getrennt. Root hat hier keinen globalen Überblick wie sonst so oft in Unix.

Kann man hier heraus erkennen warum ich mich nicht mit rdp verbinden kann?

Die Konfiguration ist da, das VRDE-Modul hat Port 9001 bekommen. Die Konfiguration erlaubt nur Verbindungen von "localhost" - wenn die Verbindung von anderswo erfolgt (z.B. von irgendwo im LAN), dann klappts nicht.
