No audio on MAC OS Mojave Win 10 guest

I have been gradually losing audio in Windows 10 VM running on MacPro OSX Mojave. Before I upgraded to VB 5.2.26 - I had to go into sound settings in Window VM and "wiggle" the sound level bar and that would restore sound output to the VM for the session. Having upgraded VB today I have no sound no matter what I try. Help please.

I have a feeling that this is the configuration of your guest, from within your guest, not a VirtualBox issue. In any case, we need to see a complete VBox.log, from a complete VM run, where the problem occurs:

• Start the VM from cold-boot (not from a paused or saved state) / Observe problem / Shutdown the VM (force close it if you have to).
• With the VM completely shut down (not paused or saved), right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager and select "Show Log".
• Save only the first "VBox.log", ZIP it and attach it to your response. See the "Upload attachment" tab below the reply form.

FYI - I rebooted the MacPro and now I am getting sound in the VM !!!!!!!! I suggest I wait until the sound disappears again before uploading the log. Thank you for your kind attention. Have you any idea why this is happening?

That's interesting to say the least. I don't think I've heard that one before. Do other applications on your MacPro get affected by this, or is it only VirtualBox?

I don't think a VBox.log will show anything to be honest with you, this sounds like something going on with your host. Any audio related apps installed?
