Guest Additions
Hallo Profis,

Re: Guest Additions
With the VM window having the focus, go to the host's menu "Devices" » "Insert Guest Additions CD Image...". If not prompted by auto-run, run "VBoxWindowsAdditions.exe" from the CD. Make sure there are no errors or suggestions during the install.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

Re: Guest Additions
Do you have a CD controller set up in the VM Settings » Storage? If not, you should add one. There can be no CD if there is no CD controller.

Re: Guest Additions
First of all; make a backup!!! And do *not* store all your company's data in a VM! You're playing with fire while you're strapped with dynamite! EN: believe to have found the place, see picture. There it says under information/connected to "not connected". What can I do? I don't know. My complete company data is stored in this VM, I am afraid to make changes there.
Second, no, that's not the place. You're looking at the wrong one. I told you to look in the "VM Settings" » "Storage", do you have the CD Driver there? The part on the left that says "Empty" with the CD icon?

Re: Guest Additions
Hallo sokratis,
Thank you, it worked.
How do I get Guest Additions inserted in the CD drive to update them?

When I click on the CD icon I have three options
Select image ...
Host drive: E
Remove medium

I'm not going to repeat it a 3rd time, I'm sorry. As "VM-F4n[2]" said:

Re: [Resolved] Guest Additions
Hallo soratis,
it lacked the menu item "devices" in the display, so I was looking for a wolf after the guest extension.
Could update the guest extension now.
Thank you for your endless effort
