VirtualBox problem with a guest on Parrot OS and Kali Linux

Post by snif_eR »

Hey, I have a small problem with the latest VirtualBox.

Installation problem "Mount guest image board".

The problem concerns only Parrot OS and Kali Linux

You can not insert the virtual optical drive
C: \ Program Files \ Oracle \ VirtualBox \ VBoxGuestAdditions.iso into Parrot Security

Could not mount the media/drive
'C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxGuestAdditions.iso'
(VERR_PDM_MEDIA_LOCKED)

Kod wyniku (RC):
E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Komponent:
ConsoleWrap
Interfejs:
IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}
Wywołana funkcja:
IMachine {85cd948e-a71f-4289-281e-0ca7ad48cd89}

On Ubuntu and other Linux or windows running add-on works flawlessly.
Of course, I downloaded and installed on the main VirtualBox Extension Pack.
Add-ons are required for the image to be displayed on the entire screen.

Anybody have any idea ?? :)

If you search for that error, you'll see that VBoxGuestAdditions.iso is already mounted by another VM or snapshot(s) of a VM. Go to the Media Manager and see which VM has a lock on that particular ISO. Then release it from that VM or eject it.
