The log file after executing VBoxLinuxAdditions.run says that the Linux Headers are not installed. I have installed them (several times) but it never sees them and it says "The systems is not currently set up to build kernel modules". I have installed 5.22 of Virtual Box because it was supposed to resolve the windows resizing problem. I am on 4.13.0 of Kali, running in a Windows 10 host.
Everything in VirtualBox seems to work with my Kali installation except the window resizing.

Re: VBoxLinuxAdditions reports that kernel cannot be built
Moving to "Linux Guests" from "Windows Hosts".
Not the ones that match the kernel that you're running, no. And it's not VirtualBox that's complaining, it's your own Kali because it tries to compile something and it can't find the exact set of headers-kernel. Could you double check and make absolutely sure that the kernel and the headers match to the "t"?Freelance wrote:says that the Linux Headers are not installed. I have installed them

Re: VBoxLinuxAdditions reports that kernel cannot be built
It looks like I am having this problem as well on a Linux Ubuntu 17.04 guest, with 5.2.2. Looks like they broke building the Guest Additions again.
PS: It looks like they did build. At first it said that vboxsf would not load but after rebooting they are loaded fine now.
