VirtualBox - Critical Error

Post by John.burrows »

Im using Windows XP pro!
Installed VirtualBox B 2.0.2 36488.
Upon startup I get a VirtualBox Critical Error:

Failed to create the VirtualBox COM object.
The application will now terminate.

Callee RC: CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE (0x80080005).

Can any one help please?

I had the same problem. I reverted back to version 2.0.0 and I didn't get the errors anymore.

VirtualBox - Critical Error

Thanks, I will try version 2.
For information and after reading the other posts on this problem, I did try an install without USB support.
This did not make a difference.

Regards.

Reinstalled VB2.0.2 and replaced the said files as per you link and VB now runs. Im very happy. So I can now begin to use VB.
