I used the virtual box GUI to share a folder named "share" pointing to a new folder with 777 permissions.
The folder is a Machine Folder, not transient.
I have installed the Guest Additions via Google Code to get the latest version.
i am receiving the error 53 when using the net use command
i cannot find the workgroup at all when trying to use explorer to map network drive.
please someone list the steps.

Hi!
I'm using XP on Apple OS-X 10.4.10 without any problems.
I did not use the command-line.
Go to the system-folder "network-connections" (there are several ways to do that), in German "Netzwerkverbindungen". Right-click it. In the opening window, you will find "connect network-drive" ("Netzlaufwerk verbinden"). Click!
In the opening window you choose a drive-letter ("Laufwerksbuchstabe") and search for your shared folder (which must already exist!). Click!
Good luck!
