Try to re-install VirtualBox.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

No it doesn't. Data is one thing. A program that uses that data is another. Even in OSX upgrades you don't lose your data.

However, I try to re-install my original version-4.3.24 of virtualbox, it ends with unsuccessful installation.
Do I need to re-install the latest version ?

Appreciated

Oh dear, you were on 4.3.24! Oops, I didn't realize it (not that you told me ;) ).

Yes, you should definitely go with the latest and greatest (5.0.20 as of this writing). El Capitan is not even a year old (2015-09-30) and the closest VirtualBox version that came after that was 5.0.6 (2015-10-02). After each release there were more and more El Capitan fixes. So, definitely 5.0.20.

BTW, which OSX version did you upgrade from, if you don't mind me asking?

It works, thanks a lot.
The OS I upgraded from is some version of Yosemite, sorry I can't remember.
