Windows guest booting problem VBox 5.0.2

Post by Dhaks »

I haven't been able to boot windows guest on Red Hat 6.5 host. This is the first time I am trying with VBox 5.0.2.
Previously I used 4.3.14 and that worked pretty well with same iso.
Here is my VBox.log, http://pastebin.ca/3152318. Can someone look into it.

Thanks.

00:00:21.591594 VERR_PGM_PHYS_NOT_RAM (-1639) - Trying to free a page that isn't RAM.
00:01:05.696091 !! Guru Meditation -1618 (VERR_PGM_PHYS_PAGE_RESERVED)

Not a lot known about this error. I can find two instances and one was using the wrong media ( isa ) and the other failed to answer a query from the devs.

You can try to drop the RAM down a bit or even see if changing the acceleration from default or hyper-v to legacy also see if disabling pagefile helps.
Once you have an idea you would need to post a ticket at bugtracker

I tried several experiments, overall, 2GB is the optimum RAM that booted. Even using 4GB ended crashing.

I note however that this is a third party OSE compile. Not the official RPM package?
