[Fixed] SATA CD-ROM hot-add results in GUI lock-up

Post by Technologov »

Host: Win 7 x64, VBox 5.0.0-BETA1
Guest: [any with SATA]

During run-time, I have tried to hot-add a SATA CD-ROM device (choosing "leave empty", without ISO image) via VM settings.
VBox GUI stucks at 45% "saving settings", but never completes.
Only way out is to kill GUI.

Thanks. Reproducible also on non-Windows boxes.

Actually there were two problems: The actual GUI lockup and the problem that a VM setting couldn't be changed when the VM was running (which lead to the GUI lockup). Both problems are now fixed, the fix will be part of the Beta 3.
