Just want to share that in-memory uxtheme patcher works with virtualbox 4.3.24. So if you want to have custom theme just install an uxtheme patcher that modifies it in memory.

Xorbe, info that I saw (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=62897#p295025) says that malware on the host can inject itself into Virtualbox's host processes the same way many legitimate programs can, and get higher privileges for running than the malware could have had if Virtualbox wasn't there.

today, when I start a virtual machine working until 3 days ago, I got this error:
"Timed out after 60014 ms waiting for child request #1 (CloseEvents). (rc=258)"
after around 60 seconds.

So, I no have Idea of what happened.... Someone can help me?

My PC run Windows XP Sp3, has 3Gb RAM and 250 Gb hard drive. Virtualbox emulates a Windows 7 32 bit, dedicated 1,4 Gb of RAM and 20Gb of hard drive.
2) VBoxStartup.log (zipped)

3) Mention any host anti-virus, firewalls, protection software, and debugging programs etc which might be relevant
Avira antivirus free is installed in both (host and guest) and windows firewall.

Thanks, @scottgus1 -- I didn't consider that aspect. That is important to secure at all times, not something I would want to disable!

After the update to version 4.3.24 from 4.2.18 I was able to run a win XP guest machine but after the host (Win 7 Home Premium x64, AMD, Acer Aspire) reboot it has been possible no longer. I tried to turn off PC Tools 7 firewall, antivirus AVG 2015 and Iobit Advanced Care 8.1 but without a success. I am enclosing screenshots and the VM guest machine logs. Could you look at the issue?

The error messages are:
"Error relaunching VirtualBox VM process: 5

Driver is probably stuck stopping/starting. Try 'sc.exe query vboxdrv' to get more information about its state. Rebooting may actually help.

No one virtual guest is able to run.
When I've upgraded from 4.3.22 it worked, but after some days (I don't remember if I've rebooted only one time or more), whitout change or new installation, and now no one guest machine works, old or new one.
I've reinstalled 4.3.22, but without success, no guest is able to run.

For what it's worth the new test build (4.3.25 build 98881) works well with Comodo Internet Security 8.1 and Symantec Endpoint protection with Windows 7SP1 x64 hosts and Windows 8.1 x64 hosts and XP/Linux guests.
