In MacOS X Yosemite, the VM guest window disappears when Macbook sleeps and cannot be recovered when the machine awakens. This happens also when the lid of the laptop is closed.
I have observed that when this happens MacOS also closes other windows on the desktop. All of the others are restored to their former states when the Macbook wakes from sleep, but the VirtualBox window never comes back. Clicking "Show" in the VirtualBox Manager does not show it. My temporary remedy is to use Remote Desktop to connect to the orphaned virtual machine.
Other times, the guest VM is aborted with "Aborted" status.
Any thoughts as to why VirtualBox cannot survive when MacOS Yosemite sleeps?

Hi,
Did you resolve this issue? I've a similar issue with my Windows 7 guest. In addition to aborting when OS X goest to sleep, it aborts every 5 minutes of usage.

I also have this issue. Have either of you found a resolution?
