Problem with Assembler Programming

Post by l3c0rbusi3r »

hei,
i'm running a virtual windows 2000 on a linux host.
i started a little assembler programming but the programs won't work.
however, they assemble alright and i can run them, but they don't do anything.
i tried a helloworld example. the program just starts and ends.
i wonder if i can do assembler programming on a virtual machine at all?
any suggestions?

I am just curious. Why would an assembly language program run any differently than one that was written in C or C++?

I think it should work. Have you tried your program on a real W2000? Mail it to someone that has access to a W2000 machine. Maybe you have done something wrong?
